I think I may part out the 1125 this bike runs well but I really need the coin. I would rather sell it whole. Waiting on the eBay listing to end to decide if someone doesn't buy there.
I'm sure the pipe and ecm will go easily.
What else would be wanted? I imagine I will have a bunch of random undesirable stuff after the pipe, ecm, motor, front brake, fairing, and pegasus seat are gone.

Why tear a perfectly good bike apart? Don't rip something that someone else can appreciate. You might not sell it right away yes but it's easier than trying to sell a bunch of random parts.

Because its been for sale for months and I need the money. The parts have shown more interest than the bike as a whole.

Sometimes, looking to sell a bike to make money isn't the correct avenue. Perhaps the answer for more funds lies somewhere else.

Just saying.

I have found craigslist sucks for finding buyers, last 3 bikes I sold the buyers came from elsewhere.

I already know selling a bike always means losing money. But the Buell. Geezuz. What a waste.

Link to for-sale ad? Not that I'm in the market, just curious.

IMO, remove the aftermarket parts and sell separately to recoup some of your money, then put the stock parts back on and sell the bike as a whole.

$3650? Man, our bikes are going for SHORT money. I'm surprised they aren't in greater demand. I can't think of anything else sporting I'd rather buy with a $5000-or-less budget.

An 04 zx10r for less than 5k. Great choice. Smooth. Buellet proof. Powerful. Doesn't need a nose job.

If you removed all the factory warning stickers you would have got at least $4k.

As far as the resale value, perhaps the fact that buell doesn't even exist anymore has scared off potential buyers.

I just plain don't like I4s, so any of the Japanese liter bikes are off my radar entirely, regardless of price range. I used to have an '03 GSX-R1000 (arguably a better bike than the ZX10R, according to magazine tests), and aside from straight-line speed, the 1125 is superior (IMO) in every other way.

I don't think it's the shuttering of Buell that drives away buyers, it's the pervasiveness of the reputation of being quirky and underpowered that makes many of them go elsewhere. So many riders are spec sheet junkies--why buy a bike that makes 130rwhp when they can get one that puts down 150 for not much more money? I don't think the 1125s would be going for that much more money if Buell was still open and selling the 1190s (instead of through EBR, I mean).

That wasn't my bike. I will probably never sell my CR.
