My "New CR owner" thread hit the archives, but I thought I'd throw out an update. Since Noobuel thought I should hit the problem areas before they hit me I ordered the EBR rotor and clutch kit. I don't plan to ever have a pillion so I ditched the rear peg brackets and installed a Jardine fender eliminator to clean up the back a bit. I was going for a little more comfort than the S1W so I ordered the highbar kit from American Sport Bike, a set of Uly drop pegs and a Laminar lip. I got everything installed a few weeks ago. I noticed a couple things while installing the EBR parts. The first was that half of the stator was already darkening and had tiny cracking beginning from the heat in only 1400 miles. The second was that my bike already had the "updated" Buell clutch hard anodized sleeve in it, I probably wouldn't have bothered with the EBR kit if I'd have known but since I had it already and stainless "should" last longer lol I went ahead with the install. Here's a couple pictures of the sisters together.

Very nice. Unfortunate about the redundant EBR clutch sleeve not being needed. I've always been a belt AND suspenders type, so I would have done the same as you. Man those CR's look menacing, I might have to pick one up to sit next to my R.

Harley, not wrong at all! I'm not sure which one I'd get it more trouble on...

And you are most welcome! Just glad I helped get another Buell back on the road, where it's meant to be!!

good call on the ebr clutch kit. got my cr a couple months ago & it had the clutch leak shortly after. opened it up & the updated factory parts were in there & pitted. the ebr kit I'm thinking is the permanent fix imo

That can be the result of not changing out the brake fluid frequently enough according to Jdugger. Any aluminum part may suffer the same fate with bass brake fluid in contact with it fir extended periods of time.
