Put some Seafoam in the gas tank, then fill it up with fresh gas, run the bike a little bit so it gets into the FI system, disconnect the battery, then stay alive for 10 months : )

I prefer Amsoil Gas Stabilizer.

As Froggy said, battery disconnected. Maybe you can find someone to store at their home on a tender for 10 months.

Sounds like a carrier run to me!

may also want to:
a) overfill the tires a little ( +5psi)
b) stuff a rag into the "air scoop" so critters don't climb in (depends on where you're storing it)
3) top off the brake master cylinders and clutch reservoirs
4) back in the day - before winter arrived I used to wax the tank and side covers, but didn't wipe it off (until the spring) then the paint was "protected" some what
5) change the oil and filter
6) buy a cover and use it

good luck with your deployment - stay safe

Put it up on stands if you have them. Keep the tires from flat spots.
