Pulled my VR out today. Was a little surprised to see "Ducati" cast onto the case. It's been replaced twice under warranty. Was really surprised to see absolutely no heatsink grease. This thing is in a not so good place air flow wise and needs all the help it can get. That said it did last 2.5 years, 18,000 miles.
Still planning on putting a series regulator out in the breeze just in front of the plate.

replaced mine last weekend with a Rick's hot shot, mine had Ducati cast in the case as well...imagine my surprise...

@Jolly is the ricks hot shot a series or shunt type? What is your opinion of it? I'm debating whether or not to go with the Rick's or the SB-605. thanks!
