Where are you supposed to apply the silicone grease that comes with the rebuild kit? I didn't do anything with it the last 2 times I've rebuilt the caliper.

Hmm, just did mine and didn't use it either.

As I recall, their were instructions that said it's for the pins. I use my own lithium grease, which is why I didn't use it.

Haven't had instructions in any of the kits so far.

Did you lube the pistons or their seals? If it's not caliper pin grease or pad glue, I bet that's what it's for.

Per the manual, You lube the seals and pistons with the brake fluid

Grease is for the pins, so the pads slide cleanly in and out when you apply/release the brakes.
