Ok, so not really. But I was riding fairly aggressively on my way to work and smelled a fairly acrid burning smell. I thought it might be another vehicle, so I continued to work and the smell dissipated. When I got to work, I noticed a burnt mark on the outside of my right knee. I thought I had pushed my knee against the exhaust, so when I got ready to go home I sat on the bike and tried to contort myself into a position that had the burnt spot by the exhaust. In a riding position the spot is on the outside upper edge of my kneecap and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the the spot to line up with the exhaust. So my next thought was that in my aggressive ride in, perhaps I dragged my knee on the asphalt. I never felt anything at all. Never having done that before, I'm not sure if that's normal or not. Can anyone let me know if you can feel it when you drag your knee on a curve? And if so, is it possible to add knee sliders to pants after they are made?

Here's a picture of the burn/hole:

That happened on one of my Bilt jackets on the shoulder. Not a rider problem in my case. It was a leader problem. The car in front of me dumped a cigarette, and it got caught on my shoulder pad and hung there while I was at a slow speed. I stopped at a red light and started smelling something burning. Like you I thought it was someones car. Didn't notice until I got off my bike at my girlfriends house and saw a cigarette butt melted into my shoulder. She accused me of smoking again.

Yeah wierd, that does look like a cigarette burn. If it was the exhaust, it would be on the inside of the leg. If it was from the road, you would have known it.

Pucks sit 3-6 inches below your actual knee. To get your actual knee down on the street you would have to be going extremely fast, and would have felt the tug when you touched down. I would think. Drag your foot a bit while riding, feel that? It's like horrid sandpaper.

It's possible you touched down though.
