I happened across a race map from Xopti. Non decel pop anymore and as long as I roll on the throttle smoothly it picks up nice and feels smooth. It'll stumble around if I gag it. It didn't do that with my stock mapping. Overall I am pleased. It idles pretty low and will die sometimes though which sucks. Then if I try to start it I can't. I really have to goose the throttle and just haul ass until picks up. Weird.

My EBR pretuned ECM works perfectly. I'm not sure if stalling and then not starting again would be acceptable. Also rolling on should be smooth too.

I would not be pleased with a map that I have to alter how the throttle is applied for it to work "properly".
That map is not right for what you have, or something else is an issue.

The bike should never die, and should be easy to start without any throttle input, and you should be able to throttle as needed without issue.

With my EBR ECM, I can blip/wack it from idle with no issues and it's smooth and powerful at any RPM. So, with actual correct mapping the bike is perfectly capable, do not settle for less than a properly functional bike.
A bad map can cause serious motor issues.

I agree Craig(99buellx1), I bought one of the first Buell race ECM's in 2010 and Michael Richter at Buell tuned it to my specifics; i.e. exact size (tube diameter & length of all piping, muffler used) of my own custom exhaust, K&N filter, etc and it works perfectly and I think I have one of the best running stock motored 1125R's around. I denoided it at the same time and made sure the throttle cables were perfectly free. Mine acts exactly as yours does and an added benefit is that it runs cooler due to getting rid of the super lean cruising conditions. For $250, money well spent. The bad is I do not believe EBR will do anything like my tuning again.

"do not settle for less than a properly functional bike. A bad map can cause serious motor issues." Amen. Do whatever you have to, to tune it properly and you'll appreciate your Buell for a long, long time.

I wonder if you could tune those issues out with one of the tuning softwares floating around? Ive not used one on my Buell but I have on my Aprilia and it really makes a difference.

Agreed with what everyone has said. We are emailing back and forth now. I think he's gonna change some parameters after he gets my learned AFV. For 50 bucks I thought I would give it a try. Everything I have learned from his posts and his website has been helpful especially for my xb. Somewhere I keep hearing this voice in the back of my head telling me to get the EBR ECM but then a loud voice across the living room shouts no and I say ok babe.

Well after a couple trys we got it right. Smooth and no pop on decel. I give Mike a thumbs up for dealing with some unknown variables and be willing to work through it until we got it right. I still may update my firmware from the dealer and get the latest flash before I get another after market pipe and then get a different race map for that firmware. He said he has a few options available that route as opposed too the buezd firmware which is old. Anyhow, no more dirty overrun!
