OK the tank vent to the canister is a piece of cake but where the heck does the other line attach to the throttle body? A pic would be great but even some general area would help. Left or right side when sitting on the bike, front or rear throttle body? |

No pictures handy, but I'm looking through the manual. The nipple on the throttle bodies is on bottom of the forward TB. If you're installing a can for the first time, you'll need to remove the nipple cover from said TB. The hose goes on the nipple, then to the top fitting on the can marked "carb". Having them routed this way closes the fuel system and turns it into a loop. I'm assuming you already know this...

Instead of routing it to the throttle body route it to ground, this will save you coming back to ask why the bike will not re-start when at operating temperature on a hot summer day, still gets rid of most of the fuel vapour and the bike will start reliably which it will not if you route it to the throttle body. |

Ok is this why the CA bikes are a little hard to start when it's hot on a hot day? Because the vapor from the CA Charcoal canister is causing the engine to inhale said vapors? |

Yes it is, causes a over rich condition, worse when the fuel tank is full. |

That explains it! Thanks. Will reroute the hose now. |

Thanks for the replies! If I start having hard hot starts I'll reroute the line. |
