I just finished my engine rotation/valve adjustment. Now I have one problem and one rookie mistake.

The problem. Left cooling fan isn't running. Took the bike for a short spin and noticed it wasn't running when I stopped at a friends, and again when I got home. Haven't looked into it yet (bike is still hot), but some places to start would be awesome.

The mistake. I have 3 T-27 fasteners...left over is a good term I guess. I followed the service manual to a T. I went back over everything twice. I can't seem to find where they go. I listened for rattling on my short ride, and couldn't feel or hear anything weird. So if anyone knows a spot they go in that's easy to look over, let me know.

All in all it wasn't too terrible. I'd say it took about 10 hours over the course of 4 days, and 3 days to get parts from HD after I got my measurements.

If you have the manual, start backtracking.

Well, it's either jammed or disconnected. Try and spin it by hand

Doesn't the right fan come on at a lower temp?
Can't remember but for some reason that comes to mind.
if so maybe you didn't get it hot enough

I fixed the fan, and figured out where two of my three fasteners went. The fan was an easy fix (helps if you plug it in).

If you have ANY T27(1/4-20 UNC) fasteners you have other issues.
1125 is almost ALL metric, T-30 is the common size(6mm).

There are a few Imperial thread fasteners, but not many. None for bodywork except plastic heat shield over rear head pipe.
