I think I have the clutch weep. I have the revised clutch cover with the bigger puck and the previous owner said he took it in for the recall or tsb on the clutch weep issue. Does this mean that since it's leaking I just need the O-ring set that EBR sells or do I need the whole actuator? Is there a way to tell if the EBR one is in there already?

The EBR parts are stainless steel and a little different design. I'm not sure how well you can tell without taking most of it apart

The part was revised by Harley a few times over the years, it is impossible to know exactly what part it has, and if it was installed right, etc. Since you have to take the thing apart to figure out what it has, I recommend just buying the EBR actuator and being done with it, that way you know you got the best part and it will actually fix the issue, unlike the earlier attempts from Harley.

pop the puck off and have a look. mine had the dealer updated parts inside & it was a gold-ish colored piston. the ebr kit is slightly smaller in internal i.d. & is silver. I doubt the dealer installed the ebr kit. go the hundred bucks & be done with it. it's easy to replace.
the ebr kit's internal of the cup is smaller and comes in from the locating bump in the cover. the factory one is pretty much even with the bump. not sure if that makes sense to you lol. I just did it to mine.

The EBR or Oberon parts are the way to go. Any of the OEM parts will eventually drip.

I'll just get the EBR one. I was thinking the same as the dealer probably just installed one of their fixes after I started thinking about it. Too much Buell problems these last few months. It's killing me. I just got my CR running again and now this. For once, I'd like to go more than a month with both of my Buell functioning. Don't think it's happened yet.

Sinnister - I was down for almost a year! Complications from simple maintenance, and not having a clear path forward

But, got through everything, and she's running like a champ now.

The tech doing the work on the bike makes a lot of difference, IMHO.

Simple service items can become long term issues when the work is done poorly.

I work on everything but it seems like all the 1125 gremlins are hitting at the same time. Did stator, rotor, and VR last month and now the clutch weep. My XB snapped a belt after 3000 miles a week ago and over Christmas has to replace 2nd gear on that. I'm doing a valve check in the next few weeks so gonna take care of the clutch weep then. Part is on the way. Hopefully after that I'll be all good for a little bit.

I took a look at my clutch weep and the metal was all smooth, but the piston o ring seemed a bit worn and stiff. I replaced the o ring with a silicone one from a hardware store and my weep has been gone for months. I'm guessing I got lucky with my shade tree fix.
