Sooooo. Theoretically speaking. Going to have to do the valve check late this season... While I have the bike down I'm looking into possibly building it up. Done a lot of research on this and realistically the only things I could come up with were the compression bump, EBR 1190 kit (possible), EFI racing kits (TOO MUCH $$$$$), lightweight pistons etc. I havn't been able to find any "swappable" cams or anything along those lines. They honestly probably don't even exist. Regardless of the setup I would ideally need to get ahold of some larger diameter headers and whatnot. If I recall you physically can't push further than 150hp with the stockers. What about the DSB 1125's? Forgive my ignorance but what is different internally between the two? And please nobody suggest I just get an exhaust and tune....THEORETICALLY....I'm looking beyond the realms of that. As far as my research shows, around 145rwhp IS achievable with stock engine internals? Verification anybody? I seem to remember reading somewhere that the 1190 bore puts out somehwere in the ballpark of 155?

I almost feel like I'm better off to just run the thing 'til it blows and rebuild the whole engine to low comp specs and pioneer a precision turbo setup.

Anybody had any success with anything I've mentioned? More importantly does anybody have dyno sheets showing the improvement? I really don't care if the dyno says you make 65,448,619hp, I want to see the improvement, before and after.

My 1125 DSB build put out 150 at the rear wheel. Stock motor internals. Need the EBR exhaust and good gas to make that happen.

Sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread, but this info might be useful for the OP as well.

Need the EBR exhaust and good gas to make that happen.

Please define 'good gas'. All that is stated on EBR's website for the race exhaust is "Actual HP increases are dependent on many factors including type of fuel used."

Any idea what's more critical for an 1125 (with EBR exhaust and ECM, if it matters), lower ethanol content or higher octane? The only non-ethanol gas I can get 'round these parts is only 90 octane. To go higher to higher octane (93 is pretty common, IIRC) I'd have to use gas with ethanol (max. 10% they say...).

For optimal performance you can tune for different octanes. I cant remember what the minimum grade fuel is as listed as per users manual but I can't imagine anything lower than 87 being healthy for any performance bike.. The 1190 kit, as it just being the bore, I would assume would function acceptably on any "premium" non-leaded fuel with an octane rating higher than 87. Higher octane = better performance as a general rule. I would suggest a call to EBR before anybody takes my words to heart though.

Ethanol is well.. ethanol lol.

98 Octane minimum is recommended for the DSB build. I usually run the Sunoco 100 (available at the pump at the track and at a vendor here in town) at about $8/gallon. I'm running EBR exhaust and the non-programmable EBR ECM, so I don't run VP race gas. VP will make more power but you'll need a different map - ie; programmable ECM.

DSB motor is higher compression (14.8:1 in my case) so you have to run higher octane to prevent detonation. My DSB also runs different pistons and rods and has a higher redline than stock. I make 144 hp at wheel, at 4500 ft altitude, so probably 150 at sea level.

IIRC, 91 is minimum recommended for stock motor.
