Hey guys, I was having a V/R problem that's since been resolved, but as a result of the system having 18V+ through it, one of my front LED markers blew.

I'm having a hell of a time finding a replacement unit, anyone have any ideas where I could get one?

Side buying the whole mirror assembly, I'm not sure you can...

1. buy the original replacement
2. heard a decent review of these
3. buy the firebolt mirrors. I've seen others say they are superior anyways. but, you'd have to create a front turn signal

all that i've picked up on here, at BWB... search for it using the Google link at the top of BWB pages

edit: Just remembered, with #2 - there's some dremel work involved to create room for the wires; and you'll need longer bolts. all pretty easy i'd expect.
But obviously, i have no personal experience with any of the replacement options.

Well i said to hell with the whole bug antennae look the two running lights that flank the head lights work great as turn signals and easy to replace

Oh I'm sorry I should have specified that I meant the one located within the headlight housing, not the mirror's turn signal.

Bubba, do you have a link to the one who bought those mirrors at the ebay link? I like the look of them and wonder what the person had to say. Mainly in how bright the turn signal is.

Cat2 - wouldn't waste time/money on the Ebay replacements - I tried a set a couple of years ago - by the time you get the mirrors adjusted to see behind you...the LEDs are pointed down and away from the front of the bike - oncoming traffic barely see the turn signal flash.
My solution:
1)buy some honda F4i mirrors from EMGO:

http://www.emgo.com/images/pdf/2014%20EMGO%20Filte r%20Mirror-ebook.pdf

...you can find them for $17 a pair or less on Ebay
2) Buy some Superbrite LEDs ( Cross ref P/N 194 wedge type bulb/base)

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/miniature-wedge -base/

NOTE the intensity factor - buy the brightest you can afford (scroll down)

3) Wire the turn signals to the "running lights" in the front headlight nacelle/mount...note again the LEDs are polarity sensitive..if they don't light - unplug them from the socket and turn them 180 degrees - re-insert them.

On coming traffic can now see the flashing signal from the front of the fairing.

BeefSup- the LED you want is actually an incandescent light ( type 194) you should be able to purchase at any WalMart/auto parts store...(at least they were on my '08....I see you have an '09 R....I doubt they changed them to LEDs in 2009 models.)

hope this helps

The firebolt mirrors are awesome. Got them from American Sportbike. I can actually see behind me now.
