Has anybody quantified the difference between the FMF Apex exhaust with and without the quiet insert? You can use the insert two different directions too. I intend to measure the difference with a db meter in the spring, but was curious if somebody else has already done this.

I'm curious about the tonal differences too. I'll have to capture video of stock vs no insert vs with the insert in both directions.

I ran mine with the insert installed in both directions and it is more quiet than running without it BUT it is still pretty damn loud... to the point where I ended up removing mine and Have been running without it for years... didn't make big enough difference I guess.

Also I should mention that my can was of the carbon fiber variety and it ended up cracking after like 15,000 or so miles. i would guess that with the insert installed it would exert even more force on the carbon fiber cans... FMF rebuilt mine with SS a couple years back.
