I was wondering if anyone knows the name/type of connector that the wires from the ignition key/steering lock use to connect to the wiring loom under the fairing mount. I am thinking I could wire a connector to match the key on state so next time a wire breaks I can just unplug the ignition and plug in the modified connector and not be stranded. Hope that makes sense.

I don't know the name of the connector, but I bet it's a standard automotive one and you can probably find it on McMaster.

I can confirm your plan will work. On the OEM wiring harness you will need a DPST switch to create a normal power switch setup to bypass the key. On the race harness, one only needs a SPST.

I am not sure I would recommend carrying this with you if you are planning to use this on a street bike. At least in Texas, the simple possession of an ignition bypass device is a felony. A traffic stop by a cop having a bad day could end up with a very expensive outcome.

Stow it in one of the pods and they will never find it. Just have your T30 somewhere handy!

Thanks for the replies, never gave a thought to the legal implications, that could go bad real quick, will definitely be looking at somewhere to stow it on the bike.
