I've been asked more that once to comment on how my experience on the 1190RS, might translate to the 1190RX. While I have never seen or ridden an 1190RX (I hope to rectify that very soon), the bikes are similar enough to draw IMHO, some valid conclusions.
Service - the 1190RS is a very easy bike to service. Based on the descriptions and drawings I've seen, I expect the the 1190RX will be as well. I've discussed the details elsewhere, so I won't elaborate here.
Street Rideability - The 1190RS is a fantastic street/canyon bike, as long as you are not sitting in traffic in 90 plus heat. I understand that an upgraded fan system addressed this issue but I never took advantage of it as I had put the bike on the track by then. Based on the larger, ducted fan system that I have seen in pics of the 1190RX, I assume that this has been addressed.
I did not have significant fueling/surging issues, even at low speed, however I spent very little time at low speed ; ). The 1190RS motor pulls smoothly from almost anywhere and I loved the quiet power on the street. From what I have seen and read, I expect the 1190RX to be superior. The long wave resonator and bypass air, should improve both low and high speed power as well as MPGs.
The 1190RS riding position is aggressive, but not torturous. It's not a touring or even sport touring bike. It's a street legal/tuned race bike and rides as such. I expect that the 1190RX will lean more towards the street comfort side, but not much, partly due to the extra weight and partly the suspension components. Don't buy this bike and then complain that your 1 hour straight line freeway commute leaves you a little stiff. IMHO the middle of the tire is only there to get you from one side to the other on these bikes. I believe that the handling differences will be subtle on the street and only obvious under race conditions.
Brakes - the 1190RS brakes are great. I have never had a problem with fade or warping. I have been running the same rotor since I bought the bike, both on the street and track including AMA racing with Shawn Higbee who is brutal on the brakes. I run the 2015 pads. I expect the 1190RX to be nearly the same, as the brakes are the same save for a Nissin radial master cylinder as opposed to the Accossato (I run a Beringer on the track.). Based on my experience with both of these, I don't think the difference will be significant.
Two Up - I cant comment on two up riding as the RS has no passenger seat.
Traction Control - I can't comment much on traction control as the RS is limited to the one in my brain . I assume that the 1190RX uses fueling and timing to limit wheel spin as I believe that it uses a manual throttle the same as the RS as opposed to ride by wire, but I don't know for sure.
Racing - I see that the RS has some advantages over the RX in super stock race configuration (weight, engine and suspension components, clutch). Whether or not the stock RX traction control will be useful at race pace remains to be seen. In any case, I see no reason why the RX could not be built to be every bit as capable, as an out of the box RS, on the track. You'll just have to spend some extra coin.
Durability - The RS is one tough bike. I know, cause I have crashed it more than I want to admit. Other than the normal throw away crash parts, it has survived pretty much unscathed. My early (Daytona '12) valve train issue has been solved as I have raced all season without engine issues. Next year will be the bikes third racing season, the second on this motor. I understand that the RS engine components are slightly more race exotic that the RX. How this translates to street vs race reliability remains to be seen, but I expect that the RX will be a very reliable street bike.
If my conclusions turn out to be correct, the 1190RX is going to be an awesome sport bike. I am looking forward to throwing a leg over one and finding out conclusively.
