Getting the low voltage and the engine light comes on with that error. Is that common or two seperate issues?

When the engine light first comes on, it will display the trouble code and message on the dash, in this case it is low system voltage. You can see the messages again in Diagnostic Mode

i had this happening to me on my '09 - turned out my stator was fried and killing batteries so the system probably goes haywire trying to get you to stop riding. check the Stator sub-forum for your remedy. cheers!

Yeh im pretty sure it has a bad stator. The guy that used to own it kept throwing batteries at it just like the guy thats selling it is doing. I just wasnt clear on the engine light. I was really lucky with my other CR in the fact that it didnt get low voltage stator issues it did how ever have voltage spikes and new relays seemed to cure that.
