Is there a sensor or an adjustment so the correct gear is always displayed on the cluster? Some times there is no gear listed. Other times it is showing I'm in 6th but I'm in 3rd. Other times it's fine. | ||

It's based off your RPM and speed... If you pull the clutch in while you're cruising down the road, you'll see it jump up in gears since you're at a lower RPM. The only alternative is not having a gear indicator. | ||

Yea there is nothing to calibrate or adjust, it is all done automatically based on the math of your speed and RPM. If the reading is jumping around, that means either your speed or RPM is jumping around, like a slipping clutch or a failing speedometer sensor. | ||

Yes, just buy a 2009 instrument cluster. It is plug and play. | ||

Mine's a 2008 with an '09 cluster, as a matter of fact. First owner had issues with the '08 cluster drain... Glad to have the gear indicator. | ||

any idea, off hand, what the cost of a 09-10 cluster is? | ||

Needs to be an 09 cluster, 2010 is different (different programming for the turn signals). $279 at current pricing. | ||
