for some time I have run Conti's on My X1,The work well there. The '25 does not seem to "like " them I get some head shake and the front cupped badly soon after install. I am using the bike to commute, and intend to use it in the roll of sport tourer.. what are you running what has worked, what kind of life do you get from them? Thanks... | ||

I just ran through a set of Pirelli Angel ST, and liked them. They performed well and lasted quite a while. I've got a set of Angel GT on right now. They're supposed to perform the same as the ST's, but are dual compound and are supposed to last longer. So far, performance has been about the same. It's still too early to compare how well they wear though. | ||

Pirelli Diablo Corsa. Great tire, heat up quickly, stick like glue on the twisties and unless I'm being an idiot, they hold quite well in the rain too. | ||

What the hell, am I really that abusive with tires. I had a set of Angel ST's and the rear barely lasted 3500 miles. I commuted a little bit on them but mainly use my 1125 for group rides and twisty riding but the center was corded at 3500. My XB I run Roadsmart 2's and get about 8-9000 out of a rear and can get about 1 and a half rears to a front. Still debating on doing the Roadsmarts on the 1125 or not. I just picked up an Angel GT to burn through the front Angel then I'll probably look into something else for the 1125. | ||

I had the stock Pirelli's on the CR and just could not get them dialed in to my liking on the street. Just put the Michelin Pilot Power 3's on and bingo, they handle great and have a very supple ride as well. Very confidence inspiring in the corners with terrific wet/dry grip. | ||

PR3's - great stick in the corners, nice transitions, and well behaved in the rain. Love to try the Q2's and Super Corsas for just carving duty. Added a Electra Glide Classic to the stables for 2up and commuting, so 25R is going more carving than commuting in the future! | ||

Power Pures. They hold the road like glue but their profile is better for twistys. I probably wouldn't get them again if I rode flat though. | ||

Original Corsa III's: Loved the grip and the handling, both rears lasted 3k, front went 6k. Pilot Powers: Lasted ~6k (both sets), front was cupping bad at about 4500. Almost the grip of the Corsas. Pirelli Angel ST: Wouldn't put them back on if you gave them to me. I *might* get 5k out of them, handle fine, but do NOT have the traction I want/need. WAY to easy to spin the rear/slide the front, especially with the cold we've been having. I will be watching this thread, as I'm trying to figure out what to try next. Looking more and more like the a multi compound Michelin. | ||

I am also needing tires soon for my 1125R and have gone through 3 sets of Pirelli Corsa III's as I have liked all things about them but have had good wear and handling with Conti Road attacks on my M2 and looking now at the new Conti Motions, sport tour tires. They look good and what a nice price. Has anybody tried them yet and your impressions please. | ||

My experience with the OEM Pirellis is strangely different. At 6800 miles, my original Corsa III rear still has 75% of its tread left. Meanwhile, my original front is 2/3 of the way through its tread and badly cupped. And just so you don't think I'm a wuss, I just finished burning right down to the cords of a BT-23 on my KTM Duke, in less than 5K miles. So WTF? Did I step into the Twilight Zone, did Pirelli sneak some hard compound rubber into the batch, or what? | ||

Put on Pilot Powers at 4300, and changed them off at 11,000. The rear had no appreciable wear. No kidding. Looked new, but hated them. Hardest, slickest tires (rear anyway) I ever had. We back to Pirelli's and much happier. Threw the other one away. I figured that if I gave it to someone they would low side. | ||

In short- pick any decent name brand tire out there. Everyone is going to have their "go-to" tire....most of which are going to be different. My street 1125r gets hand-me-down/worn tires from my track bike. | ||

The new Michelin Pilots. An amazing tire. And the fact that Michelin was the only manufacturer over the past few years during the economy low-point to invest in its Research & Development department is a comforting thought. | ||

On both front and back I roll with Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa's they seem to work pretty well in rain (I live in Guam and it rains nonstop for days here sometimes) the wear is decent, I've done a bit of track runs and they work great for that as well. -Eli | ||

I've been running Metzeler for my last two sets and love them. First set was the M3's now I have on the M5's. Great tires, wear is good, grip is great in wet and dry and the nerd in my loves the tread pattern  | ||

Bridgestone 023 on the 1125 and my X1 now .... the rear on the 1125 lasted over 7K against just over 2K on the originals. | ||

Pirelli..the old Corsa 3's were my fave setup (shite mileage though), but on the street any of the Diablos, really. Still feeling out the 1125 as opposed to my old SV1K. My front is wearing out really unevenly left to right....is this common on the 1125R? | ||

I'm pretty faithful to the Michelin Power Pure's. In my opinion they heat up quick stick like glue and last much farther that comparably priced Bridgestones and Pirellis. I was very dissapointed to hear they quit making them but you can still find them in stock at big tire stores. I am anxious to try out the new Power 3's! |
