had stator rewined and ebr rotor mod installed with a ce605 v/r and now it does want to charge my battery. new battery connection and ground are ran fine for 100miles. anyone experience this. or is this IRONY | ||

Did you mean NOT charge? possibles, STATOR bad re-wind REGULATOR bad, rare but it happens REGULATOR Miss installed, wiring error ( likely ) Test one Unhook the alternator from the 605 then start engine, you should have in excess of 35VAC at the connector ( from the engine ) there are 3 pins so the voltage is present across, 1-2, 1-3, 2-3 and is close the voltage will increase with engine speed increase and fall to 0 at shut down any thing else is likely a problem. Test two RE connect the AC input on the regulator, check its documents, 3 wires take the stator output, there is a ground and a +12v DC disconnect the DC output check for an output 13 - 14 V, engine running. CONFIRM ALL WIRING CONNECTIONS are correct. Post Pics if you are not sure One last thought is the 605 out where it gets some air, they are said to get warm (Message edited by oldog on May 30, 2013) |
