Taking my recently acquired 1125r to a track day and thought I remembered reading a post stating that removing the headlight fuse made the bike unable to start. I can't seem to find the post, can someone please let me know if this is the case or if I shold just unplug the bulbs? Thanks in advance.

Just unplug the headlights behind the fairing, tape over the glass, then zip-tie the fairing at the mirror mount holes.

best thing to do is remove the headlights, and just duck tape the headlight holes..
1. remove the mirrors for the track day(normally just use zip ties)
2. remove 2 bolts holding upper fairing on.
3. remove 6 bolts holding light on. (thats it you dont have to adjust anything at all to put them back on. way cheaper than replacing them in a small fall).

total 3 minutes of disassemble.

To answer the original question, yes - pulling the headlight fuse will disable the motorcycle.

As said taking the headlight fuse disables the ignition and disconnecting the headlight bulb is practically impossible. There is a gray plug. About the middle of your upper fairing (very bottom) that must be unplugged. Its more practical to take off the upper fairing to disconnect this plug.

Well the track day was a success !!! Took a full day for the bike and I to get to know each other, on the second day I was dragging both knees. Two gears was all I needed except for the 2100' front straight. If any of you have a chance to go to the brand new NewYork Safety Track by all means DO IT !! The place has only been open for 28 days. The curbing still has to be installed but there is lots of runoff in most corners. The facilities are still coming together but there are large restrooms with showers, plenty of parking and lodging, for those who don't want to camp, is just 12 miles away. Tony's Track Days put on a great two day event.
