last times i have following problem.
if i rev engine on neutral the rpm comes back on its place and everything is ok,but meanwhile i am moving on first gear, after i release the throttle the rpm comes to about 2200 and stay there ,untill i pull the clutch the rpm want fall sometimes.
i took off the cover with starter button and oiled the cable.but did not work.
it is big and unsafe problem in traffic.
could it be the cable mechanism on the other end of cable that is under airbox filter?
this happened after i went for a long trip on highway.please help

Wires to clutch switch popping off can do this too.

Before replacing IAC, try resetting your throttle position sensor as explained here -
