How many more years do we have left for Harley to continue making/providing parts for our 1125 series Buells? What was the original promise when Buell production stopped? thanks, Mort

It really doesn't matter as you can get what you need from EBR mostly and some of the can=am parts cross over I believe. Rotax is the motor company so I am sure there will be options.

Brumbear is more or less right - as far as motor parts I think we will be fine, but the real problem will come from the unique stuff that HD owns rights to, like body parts and the like.

MOST of the mechanical shit should still be available because EBR will invariably be using most of the same stuff for their own bikes.

Even bodywork is probably OK longer term if you are willing to run glass.

Cheap clutch packs and other parts from crashed bikes are a little harder to come by as time goes on!

I worry about the belts, but chain drive is a good conversion solution...

In the UK Buell anounced 10 year support from when they sold the last bike which I believe is European law for all vehicle manufacturers.

The sooner we are rid of the MoFuCo, the better

Remember what 1203 (in the UK) told us Kev? The parts may well be available, but made by alternative suppliers. This is code for, 'we will supply on our own time scale and we'll make you pay through the nose'.

Very true ; ) but at least it means there will be parts even if expensive ..... my view is that people made the bikes so there will allways be people able to make spares ; )

Hopefully, and I don't find it too farfetched, enough of us feel this bike is iconic enough to last forever.
Today, if you wanted, you can build an entire Vincent, H-D Knucklehead or Panhead from parts sourced on the interwebs.

Cross your fingers and befriend a good machinist. : )

zac is right - look at bikes that are still being built/restored that havent been available in 50+ years. I dont worry about this really

I think that eventually we will get to the time where the normal stuff that wears out will still be available from H-D or EBR or some aftermarket company. But the time will come if you wreck it and it is bad enough it doesn't matter how much money you want to spend it will go for parts. What these parts will be I have not a clue.

This is the main reason I got rid of my Uly and went with the 1125. I think that the tuber guys and the 1125 guys will be just fine. It's the bikes in between that will be the ones that will be tough to keep flying in another handful of years.

Well Hopefully EBR will make some less than $15k US bikes for us to buy and we can be done with anything Harley related.
