Has anyone else had this problem? My IAC tube is binding on the linkage. my Bike has been denoided Denoided.

I noticed I was down on power. Throttle response was less than sharp. Reset TPS, nothing.

I pull apart the bike, inspecting the throttle linkage. Definately the IAC tube rubbing on the linkage.

What can I do? I wrestled with the IAC tube, and the only way it seems to get it off the linkage is to remove it. But I cant leave that off. Anyone have any ideas? Please?

Pull the tube through the airbox until only 1mm or so sticks above the airbox inlet.

It needs slack below the airbox.

I had the same problem. I cut a little off the IAC side and pulled it up as Jim suggested.

My problem is if i pull it up any at all, it disconnects where its connected. I am thinking of unbuttoning everything, zip tying the base, so that it wont pop off when I pull it thru.

Dont know if it is actually the IAC Tube binding. I zip tied it and pulled it up, and from my limited view, its not binding on the throttle linkage. However, something else seems to be, because with everything off, it generally pulls 100%. the rear throttle body did not. I think the issue is there. but when I button things up I am lucky to get 35% Throttle response (even after resetting it).

Taking it in for warranty. This sucks.

The airbox needs to be put on perfectly, otherwise it causes binding. I had the same happen to me a on bone stock bike, the dealer wouldn't cover it under warranty claiming I took the cover off and didn't it back on correctly, yet at that point in time the only thing that I had ever removed and reinstalled was the key from the ignition.

They are really finicky with the reinstallation, sometimes requiring a few tries to get it right especially with the IAC and breather hoses.

Regardless, with the whole assembly off, the rear throttle body is not pulling out to 100%

That should be enough for warranty to look at it no? its only pulling to 80% and sticking. I can manually push it past that, but then it sticks open.

Yea that is an issue, normally the issue is with not getting 100% with the airbox on but being able to get it with the airbox off. You shouldn't have any issue getting that covered.

They want an hour and a half just incase HD does not cover it.

Eh. might as well. I just want the damn thing to run well or I am selling it.

Should I put the stock ECU back in?
