I'm completely unfamiliar with the company, but I do find it telling that, even on their own website, the video they show to highlight the capabilities of the unit doesn't have a single cut of footage more than 2 seconds long. That says to me they know it's inferior to the other cams available. That said, $140 for a moderately good mini HD camera is totally worth grabbing one and testing it out.

And now that I look deeper, there are actually some videos posted...they look fine. I've had both better and worse results with my GoPro Hero2, so...yeah. It may be worth it to grab a couple of these for the riskier mounted positions, but for the truly epic shots, I'll stick with GoPro.

Another option or two...

used Hero2? Since the 3 and black are out, the still awesome Hero2 is going cheap usually (craigslist, ebay, etc.).

For something even smaller/more disposable - check out the small keychain HD cams. I got two to play with paragliding (chase cam):

Usually $40-60 ea. I got a wide angle cell phone lens to glue to the front. Super small and lets you place just about anywhere. Surprisingly good video for a cheap little cam. RC folks have used them for a couple years - the new ones max out at 720p last time i checked.

It's no gopro, but TINY.

anyway - hope that helps someone looking for non-waterproof options.

I have a Hero3 Black. Save your money -- it's a piece of shit.

Battery life is about 20-25 minutes tops. Batteries themselves don't charge reliably -- so your camera will show charged, but then be low on battery in 5 minutes. After two or three attempts to recharge it will finally take.

Camera modes are only ultra-high res or frame rates, so that can be frustrating, since file sizes are so huge.

Cool! glad i could turn someone onto those. They are TINY (keychain fob size). Video is decent though i'm not sure how the vibes will affect it.

Really like to see how it turns out for you! Your vids are always nice so hope to see some cool angles and uses for the tiny little guy!

photojojo has the lenses i use on mine. wide and fisheye. Theirs are a bit spendy - check ebay and you can get them for 5-15 ea.

they have an adhesive metal ring (normally goes on your cell phone or case), and the lens is magnetic. I superglued the metal ring to the mini cam, you can use a bit of JBweld to secure the lens, or clay/putty for temp. .67 and 180/185* lenses on ebay are easy to find.

HTH - GL!
