I am looking into retrofitting some hid projectors into the headlamp. Would anyone have a headlamp housing that isn't installed that they could give me the measurements of?

Do any of you have HID's installed on a CR and have projectors on another bike to compare the output of? Im just wondering if the projectors are worth the extra time effort and money. Im sure they will be as i will have 2 low beams and 2 high beams versus 1 and 1.

I was looking into this a while ago, and gave up temporarily, just because I couldn't find anything decent that looked like it would fit.

I considered buying some nice ones from theretrofitsource and trying to vacuform some new lenses to make it fit, but couldn't get a cheap housing to play with (and didn't want to tear mine all apart and have the bike down until the project was finished).

TRS used to have super tiny 'matchbox' bi-xenon projectors, but they aren't listed anymore. They said they were too small to provide nice uniform light output though, and that they were more suited for auxiliary lighting rather than primary lighting.

But yeah, I'd love some nice bi-xenon projectors on my CR, if we can find nice ones that'll fit.

yea i am talking to theretrofitsource as well. the H1 kit wont fit? damn. I knew it looked really tight. What about removing the reflectors? I want to paint the reflector black chrome anyways as the projectors don't need the reflectors. I wanted to find a cheap replacement that was maybe crashed and scratched to shit. i think we can work get this to work. the pics of the R6 with the highs on looks like they are soooo bright!! and people here are idiots. they try to pull out in front of me even while i am flashing my brights at them. they are lucky i don't carry broken spark plugs to throw at their windows! (you know the ceramic of the spark plug will easily break the glass?)

Funny you guys are working this on the CR. I bought a used scratched up R housing for this very purpose. I THINK the TRS H1 Mini will JUST fit, but not sure. That is why I got the spare to take measurements. I was planning to buy the projectors from TRS, but those funds were taken up by the Keda Designs holiday sale and the purchase of an exhaust instead.

Well I am considering putting an r fairing on, bc I ride in the rain and I plan to travel on the bike, so I am still interested in how it works out for you. I was hoping I could buy the scratched up cr headlight from you tho. Let me know what happens and how you like the keda
