So far I've had the Rotor Mod from EBR and a Rewound Stator from Ricks installed (free of charge by my local HD Dealer here in Bahrain) still need to get the new VR installed and we'll be cooking with grease as they say. Either I haven't been on the ole girl for awhile (About 3to4 weeks give or take) or she's pulling like a freight train.

Took it out to give her a run after the new stator and new rotor mod and she sure feels different. I can tell the VR isn't on yet as the battery light comes on sometimes at idle and goes off when I take off. Can't wait to get the new VR on and then I'll give her a real running. Until then, not really pushing it for fear of frying something in the meantime..

Out..

With EBR rotor and a properly rewound stator, you should not be seeing battery light, assuming you unhooked the harness.

Good question, actually forgot to ask but I think it's still hooked in.. But I did tell them to unhook it.. If it isn't unhooked it would throw the battery light?

Unless the stator or battery is bad, you shouldn't see it at idle with an 09-spec stator w/o harness.

Now, it may come on if you idle for an excessively long time to draw the battery down with the fans, but we're talking a *long* time in my experience.

Now, harness with a bad relay in it on the other hand, you could see it at idle all the time.

If he has the relay in the light will come on. The harness fix may still be in his machine.

It's not too hard to double check and make sure the harness is unhooked. Hardest part is getting the seat off, unless you have the American Sport Bike pins.

Update: After all the parts were completed my bike was pulling like a freight train and running the way it was meant.. Until the VR died, I haven't been able to ride it since. Waiting on another VR and will put her through the paces and update again.

What's everyone else's results once the fix/fixes were complete?

Still running on my own fix.. Factory part, rotor and stator. I added a switch to the update harness to manually control the relay. 19,000 miles on bike and all good. Current stator was replaced in March 2011...All lights are LED and low beam is 35wHID...
