Who here has rerouted the wires up through the frame? I am done with the stock path and will run mine outside of the stock little tube... total pain in the ass every time I mees with my charging system. How did you run your wires around the little plastic piece that covers the crank position sensor and runs up into the frame? the one right at the stator cover? pics? I think Im going to make hole in it but thought I would check here before the mutilation begins thanks, todd | ||

I used an insulated solid 12 awg wire to fish it up through. Just wrap enough electrical tape around the stator wires so that it glides up through all nice and easy. | ||

I pulled the wires out one at a time and left the tube in place. Pulled a piece of wire-cable(bicycle shifter cable) thru with the last wire. Push-pull the wires back thru the tube, pretty easy really. Todd call if you want, I'll give you more details 72zero6three5 zero877 Z | ||

I forgot how I did mine, but it didn't require any mutilation or anything. I "just did it." I'll try and remember to take a picture tomorrow if you still need help with it. Beyond that, I just ran it up along the inside of the frame and to where it comes if you route it through that channel. I pulled it up through the first time, but upon replacing the stator, I wasn't careful enough and lost the tether I was using to pull the wires up. At that point, I figured it wasn't worth the hassle. | ||

No more dragging, pulling, oiling and stretching the wires through a small plastic channel with a 90 degree bend for me! I totally removed the plastic cover from the frame down to the crank position sensor. Then ran the wires straight up in between the cylinders, right next to the throttle bodies and over to the connector. easy and done. The throttle linkage was pretty close but easy to avoid |
