Night and day difference. Stable trail braking, easier tip in, more front end feel.

I have the showa big piston forks with .975 springs and the race rear with a #575 spring(both spring rates come standard).

I would recommend this upgrade to anyone serious about tracking their 1125. Best $2k mod and in my opinion more worthwhile than spending big bucks trying to squeeze out 5hp.

I'll second that. I also added the new rotor and master cylinder. Made a huge difference in braking when combined with Ferrodo front pads.

I dis-concur with the Ferodo front pads -at least the XRAC's. They were roasted inside of a day for me and felt like they were made of hickory.

Of course they're made of hickory. That's what gives them that wonderfully aroma when your roasting them.

In all honesty they don't last me as long as the EBC but the feel is much better.

What do you recommend? I've heard good things about the EBR pads, but again don't last long. Maybe its just personal preference.

I have had no issues with the Vesrah pads sold through EBR. They are $$$$$ but the feel and pad life are good.

Both the Vesrah and the EBR 2015's are great.
I kind of like the Vesrah a touch better, but they don't seem to last as well.

I think the 2015s are maybe a touch better. I go back and forth on them vs. the Vesrah.

I do notice that I only run the 2015s to about half-pad, though.

Anyone have a feel on how often the rotor itself needs to be changed? In the past, I would wear them on on heat cycles pretty quickly, but since moving to the ZTL 2.5 caliper, new mounting hardware, and 5mm finned rotor, I'm not just killing the system with heat.

I've got a rotor that still feels really good, but doesn't seem to grip as well, even after a pad change.

Thoughts?

I have run three different rotors; stock, 6mm and now the 5mm finned. I haven't logged enough laps on any of them to have noticed any difference.

I've been able to run the Vesrah down to approx 3/16" and haven't noticed a change in feel or stopping power. I'm have no complaints with them.

2.5 ZTL Caliper. Do tell......

Remove the pad retaining clips and stick it in a mill until there's only the first seal left on both halves.

Increases air flow and service frequency.

I wasn't aware that Vesrah made pads for the 1125R. My favorite pad is the Vesrah SRJL-17 compound. Second favorite (and what I'm running on the Buell) is the DP-Brakes HH SDP-993. I've tracked the SRJL-17s (on a GSX-R600) and the DP-Brakes HH (on a CBR600F2) and have had no complaints with either--stopping power is consistently strong and fade is non-existent.

I don't think they do. They once did, and I think Buell Racing bought them *all* because no one else will even acknowledge they ever existed or were manufactured, even when I've shown them a scanned image of the packaging and labels!

Now that supply is at EBR.

Has anybody tried to get that cooling duct for the front brake. As seen on the RS.

yep, that was the answer:

"We appreciate your interest and of course supply many aftermarket race parts for Buell bikes. The air duct however, is a production EBR motorcycle part, not an aftermarket part, so you must purchase from an EBR dealer.

It also does not fit any Buell model. "

basically, the answer was no.

I'd be willing to bet you can order one for an 1190rs through an authorized EBR dealer.
...dunno if you have to prove that you own one though.

There are a handful of things I'd do to the brake system *before* I worried about the cooling duct, unless it's just a cosmetic thing for you.
