Hi everyone!
I've a problem with my buell 1125cr, the intermittent P0339 error.

I've found this thread http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290431/ 490419.html?1251234242

but i don't understand which is the solving method. (sorry for my spaghetti english)
I can't find service bulletin b-089 anywhere

The problem is the gap beetween rotor teeth and sensor?
My ecu is BUE2D and the calibration is M3PEC152 (thanks to ecmspy) MY 2009

Workshop in italy (i'm a buell enthusiast from italy) tell me to change sensor, but i know it isn't the problem. They don't know what is SB B-089
Does anyone have the official service bulletin to read? Can anyone help me?

the sensor "looks" for the teeth on the machined rotor...
1) the rotor's teeth need to be machined completely in order for the sensor to work correctly and send a "clean" signal to the ECU...(a poor tooth form or bad tooth count is causing the sensor to send a bad message)
2) The ECU cannot understand the signal - it will send out the error message

to fix the error - the procedure recommends replacing the rotor with with a new one that has correct machining.
or
adjusting the software in the ECU to compensate for the bad message (have you changed the software in the ECU???- you may need to put it back to the original version)

hope this helps..you need a HD tech to help with the factory document.

thanks for the reason!

I did not make any changes to ecu software!!

Unfortunately, in italy, the hd tech say to me to change the sensor! They can't help anymore and they don't know what is the service bulletin b-089....

Where i can find the software for my ecu to compensate the tooth-reading?
Can ecmspy help me to do this?

I had the same problem as you.

Just go to your local dealer and flash your ecm with the lasted calibration.

btw, somehow your dealer might ignore this recall, it seems its not listed in their recall list and is what happened to me and my dealer.

show their the recall info.

This is not a recall, hence why it did not show up. It is just a generic service bulletin.

thanks to Bobbuell1961 now i have the technical bulletin which confirmed that I have an old software version..
To flash the lastest calibration i'm forced to go to an H.D. dealer? my local dealer know nothing about buell, especially the 1125.. i think that in Italy there are 3 or 4 1125, and one is mine and this is a serious trouble.
There is a program that allows me to update the ECU?
If there are no solution for update i will try to machine the rotor's teeth.

Luca,
To reflash you would need to go to a dealer, even if they do not know Buell they will know how to flash a HD, same process and you know the calibration you want.
Sent you a couple of tech tips, probably not all that useful but cant hurt.
Anything else i can do for you just ask.
Bob

I finally solved the problem.
Thanks to Bobbuell! and all of you for the help you have given to me.
I removed the flywheel and filed the teeth with Dremel.
here at work http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/7648/2012111718 3849.jpg

now the bike is working perfectly!
I locked the flywheel to 400 Nm (probably more) and i also lost the clatter, finally I hear the sound of the exhaust!!

What are the "drivability" issues that it has?

the issues were that the bike sobbing from the idle to 5000 rpm+-, like "turn off the key for a 0.1 sec or the spark plug don't work for a cycle" and immediatly after the bike return to normal working..
the problem did not manifest at a costant rate, but sometimes, average one sobs every 500mt.. sometimes many sobs in sequence, sometimes only one, sometimes running good for 1 Km..

Holly crap, I've been fighting with that issue with my bike since I bought the thing. I wonder why the dealer never thought of this? I am not getting an error code, but I am definitely look at the rotor closely when I ship it off to ebr for the upgrade.

I'll have to wait until spring to see if it works, but I've tried everything else.
