Just a pic to show everyone the work they do, my stator is back in the bike and now charging perfectly, also installed EBR rotor so will keep everyone updated about how it goes.

wow! I have never seen a Buell stator with that extra insulation near the middle.

I missed the other thread.

Who did that stator?

good to hear scott ..

I worked with the guys at better bikes on this fix for my 1125. they are good blokes

so far my rewind from them is 10000 km and going strong ..

did you remove the harness ?? as after i installed and got back to them on the charging V readings .. we agreed that the harness wasnt required ..

Yeah mate, very happy with it, they are very good to deal with and take a lot of pride in their work. I've only done about 1500km on in since and its charging perfectly, took the cover off for a look and it still looks like it did when I put it in, I've removed the harness upgrade and with the EBR rotor it should last for a long time. Thank Boogman for the recommendation, I'd recommend these guys to anyone.

looking at that photo the biggest difference to other stators appears to be the lack of any type of potting type resin . So I'd guess that seeing as the damaging heat comes from within this should allow the stator internal wiring to be better cooled by the oil jet. The downside being it could be more susceptical to damage from vibrations allowing the windings to rub against each other.

Hi all,

I have just ordered an EBR modified rotor to put in my 1125R with a brand new stator that is being replaced under warranty. They may be replacing the VR at the same time, not 100% sure. Should I have the harness upgrade removed when I have the EBR rotor installed or is it ok the leave the harness upgrade in? I don't want another stator to fry as the bike is out of warranty soon. And help appreciated.

Betta bikes who did the rewid recommended removing the harness upgrade as it wasnt needed. I've removed it from mine and my partners bike, hers still has stock stator but if it blows we'll get hers rewound to this spec too.

Theshinez - how's the rewind working out for you? Can you give an update, mileage, voltage, etc.? Also how bout contact information, name address, email, how much for the rewind, any special instructions they need? I am about to pull my burned up stator winding and want to send it out while it's winter here above the 45th Parallel Northern Michigan! It will either be Ricks or BettaBikes for the rewind. Thanks in advance.

Hi Dualbuells...

I have 13000 km on the Betta bikes rewound stator .. standard Buell 09 rotor and regulator.

Betta bikes tested the reg to see if anything abnormal was going on .. and also to see if they would suggest another solution .. their advice was that it was operating as designed .. and no need to change ..

I removed the HD bandaid harness after initial testing with betta bikes .. as the voltage was dropping too low < 12.2 V when 2 legs were dropped ..

Voltage is consistantly at 13.6 - 14.1 V ..

highly recommend these guys .. as they have been very helpful in working out their rewind based from the symptoms we provided ..

I have a spare on the shelf in the event it everfails .. however looks good thus far..

cost i cant remember around $280 AUD + shipping i think ..

Over the course of the last month I've sent three emails to Betta Bikes about getting my 09' 1125CR stator rewind with no response. Any of you fellow Buellers from Down Under have contact info other than what is on their web site? Thanks in advance!
