I went ahead and ordered the CR top triple clamp for my R and I'll need custom lines made. What's the length? I'd like some room to play with so I'm guessing I should get about 10 inches longer than what came stock on the CR with high bars?
Watcha think?

Thanks!

I replaces my triple clamps with XB stuff, used what's commonly referred to as super bike bars (masters just clear the fairing) and ordered the CR clutch line for high bars. Everything seems to work well.

the lines for the highbars are long, u should be good if u get the high bar lines for the CR.

Assuming you are using bars with similar dimensions to the CR highbars, I see no reason why CR highbar lines wouldn't be long enough. It's the same bike up front as a CR minus the fairing.

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure if the stock CR bars will be high enough for me. I might want something higher or use risers. I'm guessing somewhere in between CR and Ulysses height. Will the stock lines have enough slack for that?

I've just checked my collection of bits in the shed, cr hi-bar clutch line is same length as stock r, brake line is about 25mm longer. Both have straight banjo's on the bar end, r ends are angled about 20 deg. Throttle cables will be the problem, I wanted to use mx bars but the width wouldn't work with stock cables and no-one in Australia wanted to make any. Maybe uly cables will fit, but I just bought a hi-bar kit from Buell that had bars, fluid lines and longer cables. All these bits work well together for clearance with no throttle roll on at full lock and no more right hand shaking on downhill sections. If getting custom lines made up, get extra length so you can use whatever bars you like. Any higher on the bars will foul the fairing unless lifted also, you will also need a cr ignition switch to run the speedo in the cr position as the r is different and you can't mount the r switch on the cr top clamp.
