Sorry to start the rotation thread, is it necessary to take off the radiators for the rotation the manual says yes but I thought i had seen one with them still on. Thanks for the help |

I think you just need to unbolt them, bot not remove. |

You just have to take enough off to get to the engine mount bolts that go through the K brackets. I know I had to take one side apart a lot more than the other to get to that bolt. Left side, I believe. Also, keep an eye on your wiring when you are lowing it down, some of it get pretty tight. |

You don't need to touch the right one but you need to loosen the left because the fan gets in the way of your wrench/socket. |

I've never had to move anything to get the k bracket bolts out. Just use a ball end hex |

I followed the manual word for word on my rotation, and didn't need to remove the radiators. You unbolt the supports, but they stay on and connected to the motor, and rotate with it. |

Thanks for the help. Doing my first valve adjustment, getting the valve covers off was pretty tight on the clearance, its a new to me bike with 14000 on the clock, I got it through a big boys toy shop they said it was a bank repo. Like I said I'm not sure what maintenance was done. Is there a way to tell if the stator was done it usually runs 12.9-13.6 sometimes 14.1 on the freeway. |

What year is the bike? '08 stator you're ok, '09, not so much. |

Those voltages sound in line with what I saw with the stock regulator and upgrade harness. You're probably fine... for now. Do an EBR rotor and rewound stator w/ higher temperature wire if it fails. |

Thanks for all the help the valves were within specs. I guess the p.o. did the 12500 service, got the engine rotated back up bolted in "k" brackets are a pain. Hopefully get the rest of the bike back together this weekend. Then a short rid and put her up for the winter, "sigh" |
