I am just in the process of removing the stator/rotor, while off I want to rewind the stator. Stupid question, how the hell do you get the stator plug out, the harness seems jammed, Im not sure if Ive got everything off I need to can someone help?

I guess I'm asking should the plug pull through from under the seat easily? Or do i need to remove the plug etc. I've taped a draw wire onto the cable but then found it extremely hard to pull. The plastic loom cover above the stator looks like it has a bolt in behind the frame bolt but dont think it can be undone as theres no space for a tool.

Thanks in advance.

Scott

Most have had success by disassembling the connector and pulling only the wires through. There is a comprehensive post somewhere on this site.

Take the plug off. It's easy to dissemble, and if you do it right, easy to reassemble.

Can someone explain how the plug comes apart? I got the rubber grommet out of the back but how to the pins come out?

ill try

small triangular piece is removed for the mating side of connector (other side form grommet) with needle nose pliars and then the wires can be moved inward and connector is released from wires
