What's up everybody, I've been in Chapel Hill, NC for about a year now and haven't met many riders. I've been riding my 1125 as my daily driver because my car is in the shop. My clutch is not disengaging completely and I don't know how to bleed it or adjust anything. I rather not take it to a dealer because it's expensive and my bike is my only mode of transport now. Is there anyone within an hour from Chapel Hill that could help me please? I'd really, really appreciate it. My bike is still ridable, but it is getting worse with time. I'm free every weekday after 5PM and all weekend.
I appreciate any help or suggestions,

Julio

There are number of people listed in NC.
Good luck!

Check fluid level in the reservoir on the handle bar.

will do, thank you!
I'm not sure how though. Do I take the screws off the top on the clutch side reservoir of the handle bar and look inside?
I'm guessing I will have to remove the front fairing or shield at least. Can I just pour DOT4 in there or is there a process to top off the clutch fluid?
Thanks again I really appreciate it!

1 of

brake fluid is hard on plastics and paint
so don't spill it on your bike

To bleed the clutch.
put the bike on a stand ( so its level )

remove the MC cover, inner and diaphragm
cover all finished areas with RAGS,
make sure that the MC is full.
Place a rag OVER the MC

When you pump the lever fluid will jet up

place a hose on the bleed screw and run that into a container (to dis-guard).

A. Squeeze the lever and hold it.

B. Loosen the bleeder till the lever moves to the grip,

C. Next tighten the bleeder screw, THEN let go of the lever.

>>> REPEAT TILL NO AIR IS IN THE FLUID <<<

IMPORTANT WATCH THE FLUID LEVEL IN THE MC TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT EMPTY IT (putting air IN THE LINE )

I am in the bran BUT I am just outside of Wilmington,

I will assist you IF you want to make the trip.

Thanks oldog! I don't feel ready following this procedure yet.
I added some fluid in the reservoir though because it was getting really bad. The reservoir was almost empty. There is no bubble anymore in the sight glass. The clutch is better but still not completely disengaging. On the way home from work I thought it was gonna be stuck in gear.
General tso I'm sending you a pm!

Thanks everybody for your help, I've been kind of freaking out as it gets worse and I don't have any alternative right now.
