fixed the leaky clutch , took the bike out for a ride, and the clutch slips when you get on it. does any one now the adjustment on the bolt the comes thew the diaghram. thanks shawn | ||

Check a few of the existing clutch threads,they go over it in detail. | ||

back the spherical nut off 1/2 turn ( loosen it) and try it again - with the engine hot: test getting it into neutral...when it becomes difficult - you went too far (too loose - the clutch isn't "slipping") - tighten the nut 1/4 - 1/2 turn - test it again ( slips into neutral?) ....take it for a test ride. | ||

are you talking about the nut on the outside under the puck? or the one that is on the diaphram | ||

The spherical nut is the nut directly behind the puck. Its what holds the inner cylinder and spring in place. | ||

I had the same issue when I replaced the OEM actuator with the EBR actuator. When I installed the EBR actuator I tightened it too much so, with the guidance of the members here, I loosened the spherical nut a half turn and flushed the clutch fluid with new fluid and all was good. | ||

The workshop manual doesn't say anything about backing the nut off it just gives a torque setting to tighten it to. |
