My 2008 R got a new motor a few months ago and is in the process of getting in 3000 mile oil change. The 600 mile one looked pretty good little to no gunk on the drain plug. The 3000 mile on looked to have more gunk on the plug then normal or at least I thought so.

I pulled the oil screen and had a little bit on metal and plastic on the screen cover and a little bit on the screen. The pieces are small but still dont know what to think. I dont know if that is kinda normal while things are breaking in or if I should be worried.

Here are some pics.

Not really an option the motor has zero warranty on it even though it was brand new.
