I'm just curious because I have a set that I can't get sold and will probably end up using them on a street/trackday bike. I live in Albuquerque where there are just a few loud harleys on the street. I think it would be acceptable if you didn't rev it too much at stop lights. What do you think? | ||

I had the EBR race exhaust on mine before I converted to track only. Other aftermarkets are louder/quieter obviously, but the EBR will definitely get your attention......never had any problems with LEO's though... | ||

The stock exhaust is the only exhaust I've heard that wasn't to loud for the street. Every aftermarket exhaust, including the Race Exhaust, are too loud. | ||

while loud is a somewhat subjective term the answer is that there is no other system that is legal for street use outside of the one that came from factory. that being said in my estimation yes it's to loud. i haven't heard any aftermarket systems that aren't. i think the MT1 from dean might be a good middle ground but i can't say because I've not heard it myself. | ||

i use the gpr system ..it is road legal but also has removable baffles.really good exhaust and ecu responded well to it. | ||

Actually there are no race pipes that are road legal, despite what manufacturers may say, unless they can show you an EPA certificate for passing sound regulations... | ||

I have a Drummer and I think it sounds beautiful. Little old ladies walking their Yorkies smile and wave as I go by. I thought I was OK Last week a little old man gave me the finger as I went by his house... It's all so subjective. Z | ||

I think it's frequency, as much as volume. Crackly, high-frequency pipes are "loud". (The Buell race pipe on an 1125 and 1190 is L-O-U-D) Lower frequencies - bass sounds - don't come across as bad. I love the Buell race pipes on my tubers. Low frequency, rumbly, and powerful. The Drummer I had on my Ulysses was midrange-drone-y, so I went back to stock on it. The CR is all stock and more power than I could ever possibly need, and once you rev it like you're supposed to (over 6k) it absolutely SINGS its way to redline. Only thing I'm gonna change on that bike from here out is the oil and the tires  | ||

The EBR exhaust is loud enough where I should be wearing ear plugs while riding. On the right side it's pretty loud but not bad on the left. I have never had any issues with the police in the two months and 2,000 miles I've had it on for. Tho I have been followed a couple times by police, but nothing more than that. | ||

i finished this tonight its actually a little quieter than the slip on, i will noise test it, over 65mph its not exhaust affecting hearing its wind noise |
