I removed the ignition cover, 2 screws holding the stator wire and 3 bolts on the stator. I can wiggle it a bit but it still won't come off. What's the trick to it?

I had trouble getting mine out too. I made two loops of string. I looped one under a pole on the left side and I looped the other under a pole on the right side. I stepped on the stator case across the opening and pulled up on the strings on either side. It came right out. The key is to get a better grip than you could with fingers alone wedged in there.
