Anybody use these while riding?

I watch the motogp guys using them but I can't find out how they hook up to the helmet.

Can't find out if the regular 90° bite fits inside a full-face.

Anybody have any experience with them. This heat wave is really tiring me and I'd like to have a set-up that works.

I use mine all the time. I just clip it to the mouth piece to the camel back strap and when I'm thirsty I take it off and put it in my mouth. I have a straight nipple, works great.

Good luck

depends on the helmet more than anything. my shoei didn't work so well and my new NEXX is even closer to my mouth than the shoei

I put a loop of velcro around the tube ( fuzzy stuff) and a patch of velcro (hard stuff) sewn to my tank bag ( in the front near the triple clamp center stem). I use a 90 degree valve and place a bladder system in the tank bag. I practice using my left hand and not looking at the valve or velcro in the garage( keep your eyes on the road!)....if you use Bbear's method ( especially at speed) the tube/valve can be hard to find.

Get some windscreen washer hose and the bladder out of an empty wine box. You can make your own Camelback for (almost) free. You don't have to be diligent in cleaning it out to prevent fungal growths - you can just bin it
I've used this method doing long cross country flights in my Paraglider, and it works very well

Not interested in making one, thanks.

I'm still trying to figure out the 90° inside the helmet and finding it odd that nobody markets a motogp style set up.

For people that leave the mouthpiece clipped to the strap: does it stay in place at 70 mph? How easy is it to remove and replace the mouthpiece at 70 mph?

Hmm, wonder how customs react to them at border crossings?

I won't leave home without mine here in Texas. It makes it MUCH more bearable to ride with full gear. I don't have any special setup. It's a normal Camelback system. It has a 90 degree mouthpiece. It just hangs freely as I ride. It has never gotten in the way, even at speed. It is clipped on the shoulder strap where it goes over my shoulder. I pack it with ice cubes, then top it off with cold bottled water out of the fridge. It gives me cold water for a pretty good amount of time. When I stop for gas, I buy a cup of ice and bottled water to fill it up again. It is not hard at all to grab the tube near my shoulder an find the end piece. It fits fine in my Shoei. It's easy to grab a sip while riding in a straight line. At stops, it is nice to have cold water to splash on my head and face.
