Well I intend to keep the CR long term (i've had my 2001 X1 from new as well) so when a brand new stator came up on ebay at my local dealer I thought it would make a useful spare, got it for £215 the retail including tax is £803.30 here in the UK ... already got the Oberon clutch slave so just need to save up for the modified rotor now. I think the expensive bit for us in the uk will be the postage costs, hopefully we will escape any import tax because at the end of the day it's a service you are buying and not a new part .

So....., here in the UK you think Royal Mail and the thieving scum of Westminster will not take loads of money off you for that modified rotor, Seriously ? let us all know how that works out for you. I predict you paying a large amount of money, I do really wish you luck but from experience, honestly, be ready to bend over. The UK is top down, institutionally corrupt.

You may be right mate ....need to look into what the rules are now but i know it used to be different for second hand spares compared to new .....and the modded rotor is second hand ...the value should be the machining costs as the rest is just a surcharge.
I've had mixed results from purchases from the states sometimes get stung other times have had no charges at all.
