Hello, I realize that it is a common issue but I haven't really found an answer to my problems in past threads. I don't know much about electrical systems so if someone could help me get this figured out that 'd be great. My 09 buell 1125r gets the SYSTEM VOLTAGE error message on it after about ten minutes of riding, in addition the lights get super bright and the fans run super hard and the blinkers don't work once the message appears. From reading old threads I gather that I need a new voltage regulator and that the compufire 55402 is a good option. But the guy who I was going to buy one from said that he didn't think a 3 phase charging system would work in a buell??? The other things I would like to know is if the compufire is a good option, do I just order it and replace the old one or do I have to order other plugs and stuff to make it compatible with the buell system? If so, what? And is there a thread or page somewhere thats shows installation? Is there anything else this could be? Please try to make it as simple as possible for me. Thanks in advance.

for the compufire, you would need to buy new connectors. Try ebay, Deutsch DTP 4 Pin Connector Kit 14-12 AWG, I got mine for $15ish shipped.

as for installation, you can probably do a search for compufire install or something and come up with the thread by finedaddy
