It was a good race for both EBR bikes. The other bikes had more power on the straights, but tire wear came into effect in the later laps of the race. That wreck of Roger Hayden moved Mays up a spot to 5th then passed Ben Bostrom to get 4th place. GO EBR!!!!

He not only passed Ben Bostrom but he left him in the dust. May also looked a little faster in the straights to me. If not faster, he was definitely at least as fast as Ben. Either way, it was a great race. If May and Eslick had gotten a better jump at the start, its likely that there would have been a podium finish for EBR. Go EBR!!!

It was a great race. Goeff was moving up and got within 1.8 seconds from vying for a podium finish.

More importantly to me, I think they really impressed the announcers, who spent a lot of time talking about the EBR bikes/team, and how far they've come in such a short time

Any chance the lack of advanced electronics, specifically "Wheelie Control" is the reason the EBRs always seem to get off to a less-than-awesome start ? ?

Still a great race by both, but after watching their post Infineon podium video here on BadWeb and Geoff's comments about the Japanese bikes, it's got me thinking.

No conspiracy here, just wondering. . .

Maybe I shouldn't be saying this but I dout that the enemy reads this site... Our EBR boys still don't have the deep pockets of other teams so instead of wining a race they're trying to win the season... I hope...!!!
I don't wanna ever believe that the EBR 1190RS still ain't as good as the big four (YamaKaHonSuz) HELL NO...!!!

The two teams are starting to look very promising for serious contention at the top. It seems doubtful that they will be able to consistently beat Hayes or Young this season, but the rest of the field appears to be within their sights. It is also pretty cool to know that the fastest AMA Superbike race lap at Miller was 1:49.489 and the fastest World Superbike race laps on the same track the day after was 1:48.867 Race 1 & 1:48.820 Race 2.
