Lately I noticed some serious back fire. She runs awesome! but Im concerned that my fueling might be lean. How would I go about getting a cable and software to make some minor adjustments? Google xoptininside - You can pick up a whole cable/plug already built. You can also build one yourself by getting a USB to Serial TTL 5V wire end cable and then soldering on the appropriate plug. Off hand I think it was 25-30 bucks for parts to make my own. The USB to Serial cable also needs a driver file loaded on your PC - It can be a PITA to get it loaded properly. Software... Multiple answers for this. - Tuner Pro RT (free)is a generic tool used by all kinds of auto and bike tuners by use of definition files to translate between the software and the native ECM language. OR - ECMSpy (small fee) Written specifically for Buell ECMs and much more self contained. - Plugins for Tuner Pro - you will need these from xopti's site in order to log and read/write to the ECM. Alternately you can use ECM Read for Mono (free from the ECMSpy website) to read/write to the ECM but does require that you load the Mono runtime files first. - Bin Def and Log Defs for Tuner Pro. Get these from the ECMSpy website and/or xopti's website. As mentioned above, these are needed to "translate" the binary data from the ECM so that Tuner Pro can display them as human readable data.
