Just installed the Showa race shock and BPF forks. I'm looking for some baseline settings for the compression and rebound.

That is going to depend on a lot of variables, like your weight, how you ride (street/track), what fork oil you're running, spring weight, etc.

Spend the coin and get your base set up by a reputable suspension guy. Then tweak it from there.

I installed the Showa Race Shock in my track bike. Started out with Compression and Rebound in the middle which worked well until lap times started to drop. Last weekend at Barber I was experiencing Rear Wheel spin in 2-3 and 7 coupled with pogoing through 9 - 10. I increased both Compression and Rebound 2 clicks and it was better but not perfect. I ran out of time but would have added another 2 clicks of compression to see if that would eliminate the wheel spin. The 2 clicks of Rebound eliminated the pogoing,

I weigh 165 in gear, have sag set at 27mm. Settings at the end of the weekend -- Rebound at 21 clicks and Compression at 6 clicks.

Can't help with the BPFs. I have a different front set-up.

A qualified Suspension "guru" is a good recommendation.
