since before my girlfriend left me... hopefully Allyson won't send me a "dear john" letter anytime soon!

my initial time on a DRY track... of course i felt like i was going fast, but everyone and their mother was passing me.

by the end of the day there were fewer people passing me, however...

i don't understand how those inline-4's were flying by me on the straightaways (while i was at WOT, 8k-redline). they don't make that much more power do they?
if so, how are 1125's even capable of competing?

3:10 - that spot's a little sketchy, the pavement is grooved from where the cars slam on the brakes around that corner. I need to pick a better line to avoid it.

around 1:03 i drug my toes, got startled, tilted up... need to position my feet better.

also need a steering dampener. in the straightaways @ WOT, the front end is so light and wobbly. clamping my knees down on the frame only helps so much.

edit: Danny ,i see you're from the portland area. Hit me up if you ever ride up into Wa.

that is a beautiful facility!! i love the way that track carves through the woods!! takes a little away from my local field with pavement in it!!

i think a bunch of the wobble can be tuned out with suspension, i had someone help with mine and got pretty good results. i've been up to 130 in one of the straights without instability. rider input is real important too imo.

if this your 1st track day, from now on you will find yourself looking at other dudes tires whenever you run across sportbikes. they say a lot about a riders capacity!! ha

THX Torquehd same offer if you come south. I can show you some metro escapes that will make you want to move to PDX. My last few bike trips up north; Mt St. Helens run, sprint cars at Elma and Castle Rock motorcycle flat track racing.

The rear suspension compresses as wind resistance increases. When the F/R balance changes and steering gets light, weird things happen. If you want a high speed ride you need to stiffen the rear preload to overcome this spring compression. If your are already at full preload get another spring for that shock.

One pretty rough looking lip (roll off point) on that track. Glad you had fun.

as far as wobble, my experience with the factory settings for my weight has been amazing. I've had her up to 160 and she feels solid as a rock.
