Kind of funny that the only riders that seem to be able to ride a Ducati road race bike in the last few years have a dirt track background. Who knew Ducati could and would design a tracker. | ||

tires continue to evolve...Honda has chatter, Yamaha has a complete "package"...Yamaha used to have the chatter...Rossi and Burgess "fix'd" the Yamaha...guessing that engine configuration ("V" vs "Inline") has finally become a factor...it will be interesting to see what Honda does next. Even with the CRT - should be an interesting season. | ||

Seems to be only in Moto GP, and Rossi is frankly a bit of a whiner. In WSBK the Ducati is pretty stout, I am sure the rider has a lot to do with it (Checa) but even in Superstock the 1199 was really strong. | ||

I thought Stoner was a bit of a whiner, then he got off the ducati and started winning. Rossi went from winning then got on the ducati and now he's whining. His last year on the Yamaha was not stellar but he was recovering from pretty nasty wreck and broken leg. Even then he was placing better than on the ducati. I was excited to see Rossi on the Duc but it hasn't turned out well. | ||

After Simoncelli was killed in that accident involving Rossi too..Rossi wanted to retire, but was unable, due to contract obligations. IF they won't let you walk out, make them push you out. His hart isn't there anymore. just my 2cents | ||

There's a kid from Kentucky who looks like he's got a handle on the new Duc this year. Sixth overall in Qatar is a pretty good start for this season. I hope we'll see an EBR V4 sometime in the future!! | ||

Sixth overall in Qatar is a pretty good start for this season. No it isn't! 6th overall for a factory bike that has had millions spent on development last year alone is appalling regardless who the rider is, especially as they were beaten by two non factory satellite Yamahas! If SPies had been fit then 7th would have beent he very best result possible for either Ducati rider. Fighting with rookies and second rate riders on satellite bikes is not where the factory Ducati should be and neither of the riders are anywhere near where they need to be. Unless they improve this season I think both Rossi and Hayden may be looking for a new ride next year after Ducati pulls out of MotoGP altogether to concentrate on the Panigale in WSBK. I think we will see one last engine configuration from Ducati this year to try and solve their front end issues. if that doesn't work I expect Marlboro to pull their money and Ducati to leave MotoGP at theend of this year (Both riders are out of contract at the end of this season too remember). As for whining. I think both Rossi and Hayden have every right to complain when they are not given the tools to do the job they are paid to do. Rossi is a multi world champions and was promised a competitive bike by Ducati when he joined. If he hasn't got it then why shouldn't he start bashing heads after more than a year being silent? |
