I just relocated to Midland Michigan and was curious if there were any Buell groups in the area or possibly sport bike groups?

Smit - you poor soul, moving from Cal to Mich, it will be extremely difficult to find a road that's worth anything to ride. There are more pot holes and crappy roads in Michigan than there are in all the states combined! I'm up above the 45th Parallel in Charlevoix, don't know of any Buell groups off hand. I'm planning on a few track days at Grattan raceway this year, trying something new! pm me if you like.

I live down in metro Detroit just north of the city. Buells are hard to come by in my area. Fun twisty roads are also pretty hard to come by.

I think the worst form of torture would be having a perfectly good Buell and no good twisty roads.

No groups that I'm aware of but I do cross paths with a Buell or two on occasion down around the Flint area.
Dual is right - there isn't much to write home about as far as roads go. Your best bet is to grab a map and look for rivers. If you are lucky you'll find a few roads that run along side a river. Just so happens there is a W Pine River Road about 6-8 miles SW of Midland that I run when I'm up that way. Not very tight though - speed limit is around 45-50 mph but most of the curves are comfortably doable at 70. Few gravel covered ones to keep you on your toes too ; ) Not a heavily populated stretch of road, but populated enough that you will feel like an A$$ if you come ripping through there on the pipe while some poor sap is out there weed whiping around his mailbox. Nah I'd never do such a thing...

Fio835 - truly spoken, that's why every year a gang of us make the trek to your neck of the woods, West Virgina, Carolina's, et. al., only roads worth a damn in this part of the country! I'm sure there are plenty out there to find, they just are not in Michigan. The twisty roads that are here above the 45th Parallel have pot holes, black snakes, plenty of deer or gravel! Ya make do with what you've been given!

That's what I was afraid of. It looks like the only place I'll really get to have fun is at the track.

And S21125R, I would feel like an ass ripping around someones neighborhood with my RT-4.

The only advantage is I don't think the cops are going to be pulling me over for noise like they were in San Diego. That got old real quick.

I'm in the Laingsburg area, the void between Lansing and Flint. As previously mentioned there are not a lot of good roads for riding here. I luckily live near one of the few and ride it to work and back.

For track days there is Grattan and Gingerman, that's all I know of.
