Just wanted to give some big kudos to mechanic KC at Quaid HD in Temecula Ca. Great guy who does great work who happens to be a Buell rider and enthusiast. He is also an all around nice guy!

What did they do for you that was so great? Inquiring minds want to know.

Ha! Sorry guys. What I meant by great service is this. When I took my R in to Temecula Harley I spoke with the manager and explained my nervousness about dealing with HD and my discontent for dealerships that don't have the proper mechanical knowledge of our Buells. Anyway, he explained to me that he had a Buell mechanic that bleeds Buell oil through his pours. So, after meeting the tech (KC) and getting a feel for his abilities, I left my R there for the valve check/adjustment and spark plug replacement. When I went back to pick it up a few days later (since I was in Vegas over the weekend) I walked over to speak with KC to get the run down on my bike. He lets me know that one shim was a little out of spec and that after 15000 miles, the plugs that he removed still looked exceptional. At this point the manager walks up and KC lets me know that I have a clutch weep (of course I knew that already) and that I should change my fork oil along with the brake and clutch fluids. And, before I could say anything, he (KC) begins to provide me with a little knowledge of how I can do these services my self in order to save a little money. He also takes the time to patch a crack I have in the air box cover at no charge. Then, as the manager attempts to address the clutch weep, I tell him that E/B/R has a fix for $100.oo The manager says ok and walks away and KC begins to breakdown his passion for Buells and lets me know that he himself has a Uly as well as a Blast. This guy really does bleed Buell oil! lol After a fairly lengthy conversation, I pay my bill (which was a couple hundred dollars less than the quote I was given from the HD stealership I purchased my bike from new)and leave on my R that was freshly washed and filled with fuel (also with out charge). End result: I left one very happy customer.

Oh, and I have to say that even though my R ran great before I dropped it off at Quaid, it runs even better now. I don't know what he did but the throttle is smoother and there seams to be a little more horse power.

well crap. The past 5 years that i've lived out in Cali, I should have been taking my bike up to Temecula instead of Bigg's. Love the guy's at Bigg's, but with guys like that up there, I would have more fun chatting with them.

I moved back to Iowa a few months ago, so I guess I missed out on all that.

So move back to SoCal. Better riding no? Except for the traffic near the coastline. : (
