Can someone here tell me the correct part number for the rear axle pinch bolt for my '08 1125R? I lost mine because I forgot to tighten it. So I went to the dealer and ordered it but it was incorrect. The micro-fisch had the rear axle schematic and there was a large bolt hanging in the middle of the image and I thought for sure that was it so I ordered that. Either the parts guy ordered the wrong part number or I was very wrong in my instructions. Either way, the bolt I got is too small a size and it's not even an allen head bolt. If anyone has a spare from a wrecked 1125R, I would gladly pay you to mail it to me. Otherwise, it's another trip to the dealer and a 7 day wait.  | ||

Or get an M12-1.75 x 50 at Fastenal for a buck - and get it same day. It's actually a little shorter than 50 (about 45). I know this because I had to get a longer one (and add a spacer) so that I could safety wire it. (Message edited by stirz007 on April 06, 2012) | ||

Stirz007, can I get this bolt from a HOme Depot by looking up these specs? I'm really hating the thought of going back to the dealership and waiting another 7 days to get the right part. Also, I looked up "Fastenal" and this did not exactly come up with a website I can buy this fastener. Do you have the link? I want to order today if it's that easy. Thanks. | ||

Got the bolt from Fastenal--two for 1/3 the price of dealer! The place was 10 minutes away! Thanks all! Hopefully it fits so my bike will be back on the road! |
