For me, just about any exhaust on these bikes need a chin fairing for fill the gap at the front of the bike

Would be nice to get a sound clip without the mic clipping out.

The QD ex box style exhausts have been around for a while for Ducati Monster and other models. They look nice but I don't think performance is that great compared to other types.

"For me, just about any exhaust on these bikes need a chin fairing for fill the gap at the front of the bike"

Agreed. I like the look of stock personally.

I hate the stock but I do want an exhaust that fills the entire space under the bike.. I would like them to keep that style but continue the boxed in shape all the way up to the front. Maybe use a couple chambers to help keep the noise level down a little.

I've had a change of mind on the look of these aftermarket exhaust.

I believe what makes the difference on whether an exhaust will look good on an 1125R is the finish of the headers/collectors. If the headers are just as new looking and matches up the color of the collector and downpipes, it looks like a single unit and blends in, making the sight lines match up.

It's when the headers are discolored, then the collector and downpipes are a different color, the eyesight gets "caught up" in that area and that's how it looks disjointed.

IMO this is the best looking exhaust out there period, it's the only one that tucks up under the engine.

And with a dyno proven 139whp combined with the EBR ECM, I'm a happy boy.

Add me to the list of those with the opinion that 1125s need a chin fairing

Avalaugh,

the problem with pretty much all the aftermarket systems out there including that one isn't the look. It's that they are way too loud.

Yeah I've yet to hear a reasonable loudness on these bikes. Truth is the EBR exhaust wasn't that bad to me. But for that kind of $$ it'll sit on the shelf in Wi.

I found this one while browsing Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRu8S8_p9To&feature =related

The one in the first post is.. pretty terrible looking. Avalaugh's is the best looking, IMO, and Dean's RT3 is a close second.

I agree. I'm really tired of the loudness of my street bike with my Two Brothers exhaust, but I cant tolerate the weight of the stock system. I would sacrifice some performance for a reasonable loudness and light weight.

I have a Barker with a 1" quiet core, it is very tolerable.

Dean's KEDA RT4 with quiet cores would be ideal.

You are right about whichever after market exhaust you use, you need a belly pan to help cover and fill up the space under the motor...

Many sportbikes in the past did not come with lowers.

SV650/1000
Ducati 900SS
BMW R1100S/1200S
Suzuki TLS

Actually, the SV1kS did come with a chin fairing.

Nope! The RT2 is the best looking exhaust for the 1125. IMO
